Building Our Community Together

As active members of our local communities, the Trouw Nutrition team belongs to, participates in, volunteers for, and donates to many local organizations and charities. Trouw Nutrition plays an active role to demonstrate our support for our employees, their families, their friends and the communities to which we belong.

Community Involvement

Trouw Nutrition's Marketing team, Nisa Schmitz, Kim Litteken and Molly Ronsick, represent Trouw Nutrition at the Highland Chamber of Commerce's annual awards dinner. With manufacturing facilities in both Highland, IL and Neosho, MO, Trouw Nutrition belongs to both local Chambers of Commerce and actively participates in their monthly social gatherings, awards dinner and other functions. We also show our support through financial contributions to their events and fundraising initiatives.

Philanthropy

Trouw Nutrition employees assemble kennels for the Metro East Humane Society as part of Trouw's community giving campaign.Every year Trouw Nutrition employees receive a paid workday to volunteer and help make our communities a better place to live. Our community volunteer projects have included painting the local fairgrounds, assembling kennels at the local humane society, building a shed for a local park, constructing a sign for the local FFA chapter’s field plot, helping stock local food pantries, and landscaping at the Detroit Zoo.

Trouw Nutrition also donates to local charities to not only bolster their success, but also to show our support for their worthy causes. With pets at the forefront of everything we do, Trouw Nutrition donated body armor to Happy, a K-9 member of the Madison County Sherriff’s Office, and to Zak, a K-9 member of the Troy, IL Police Department. We also recently donated $2,500 to the Bi-State Pet Food Pantry, an organization committed to keeping pet owners with their beloved pets by providing free pet food during times of financial hardship.

Trouw Nutrition employees pooled together their own money, which the company matched, for a grand total donation of nearly $1,500 to Leaps of Love, a local charity supporting the families affected by childhood brain tumors and late-effects of childhood cancer.

We’ve also sponsored the Local Paws of Parade Pet Walk, the Street Art Festival sidewalk chalk competition, and the Schweizerfest carnival. With livestock nutrition as a cornerstone of the Trouw Nutrition brand, the company also purchases livestock from the annual 4-H Livestock Auction at the Madison County Fair.

Supporting our communities creates a better environment for our employees, both at home and at work. Volunteering and philanthropic support are not only our corporate social responsibility, but also our passion for effecting positive change.
