Chuck Hayden to Retire After 18 Years

As Vice President of the Companion Animal Division, Chuck Hayden constructed Trouw Nutrition’s “science-based solution focus,” which marked the beginning of a globally recognized brand and leading position in the pet food industry as a partner in nutrition and supplier of innovative, high-quality, safe ingredients, premixes and blends.

Members of the Trouw Nutrition Companion Animal Division recently celebrated Chuck’s retirement with a golf outing and outside dinner.Chuck began his career in the feed industry in sales at a major ingredients supplier. After five years, he was promoted to VP & General Sales Manager. In 1993, he accepted a regional manager position with a major feed additives company, where he managed the sales of vitamins, enzymes and amino acids into the feed, food, cosmetic and nutraceutical industries. In 2003 he joined Trouw Nutrition to focus on developing its Companion Animal Division bringing our company to where it is today.

As an active member of the industry, Chuck has held leadership positions in many feed industry organizations, including the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA), the Feed Ingredient Institute, the Pet Food Institute (PFI) and the National Animal Supplement Council (NASC).

His spirit and enthusiasm for the pet food industry is engrained into everyone at Trouw Nutrition as he departs. We wish Chuck all the best for a very happy retirement!”
