Three New Positions Are Created to Meet Growing Customer Demand

With the Trouw Nutrition Companion Animal Division continually adding new clients and increasing orders with those clients, the company created three new positions to meet the growing demand.

Melissa Mueller joined the Trouw team as a Formulation Coordinator.Melissa Mueller joined the Trouw team as a Formulation Coordinator. “Focusing on animal nutrition and health, producing quality results, and working hard with friendly people are things I strive to find in a workplace," said Mueller. "Trouw Nutrition shares these values, and I am very excited to see where my career will take me!”

Mueller recently graduated Southern Illinois University Carbondale with her bachelor's in Animal Sciences. She now reports to Dr. Trevor Faber, Companion Animal Nutritionist, and will assist with new formula setup and maintenance, along with sales and supply chain support. 

New to Trouw Nutrition is Lewis Mekbel who joined in a recently created Key Account Manager role.Also new to Trouw Nutrition is Lewis Mekbel, who joined in a recently created additional Territory Sales Manager position. "I am excited to be a part of the Trouw Nutrition team," said Mekbel. "I look forward to expanding my knowledge of the companion animal space and utilizing my expertise to further enhance Trouw’s position in the marketplace."

Prior to Trouw, Mekbel spent three years as Director of Sales at American Nutrition Inc. and four years at Tyson Foods as National Sales Manager. Now he will continue his sales career at Trouw Nutrition reporting to Brad Hovatter, Director of Companion Animal Business Development.

Trouw Nutrition also created a new Quality Control Coordinator position. Michael Meyer will assist the second shift production team.Finally, Trouw Nutrition also created a new Quality Control Coordinator position to assist the second shift production team. "I’m thrilled to be part of the team and excited to learn new skills in this career change," said Michael Meyer. "I look forward to sharing some of my past learnings that will contribute to the success of everyone at Trouw Nutrition."

Prior to Trouw, Meyer worked at Dierbergs Markets as Plant Manager for the greater St. Louis area. Meyer reports to Josh Walker, Quality Control Manager, and will run near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy analyses, Ionophore testing, moisture testing, sieve testing, and record checks, among other tasks, at Trouw Nutrition's quality lab in the Highland Premix Plant.
